About the event
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who develop dementia often experience distress that is rooted not only in cognitive changes but also in past trauma. This webinar will help families and professionals recognize how trauma can shape behavior, communication, and care needs in later life. Participants will learn practical, trauma-informed strategies to create safety, reduce stress, and improve quality of life—whether at home, in community settings, or in residential services.
Special discounts are available for NTG dues paying members, NTG Affiliated Regional Trainers, and family members. Your registration fee directly supports NTG’s programs and strengthens our ability to serve aging adults with IDD and dementia.
